New Songs 2010- What music events are happening in 2010?

2010 will offer a lot, and it's music is no exception! 2010 songs will make you dance like you have never danced before! Whether it be pop, rock, hip hop or rap, you will be on the dance floor like a crazy mad man! Here are some expected 2010 events:

April 2010 Music Events
Earth Day's Global Day of Celebration will celebrate its 40th anniversary on 25th April 2010. This is a day where everyone gets together and celebrates what the world has to offer!

May 2010 Music Events
The Eurovision song contest will definitely bring about new artists and bands. The final is all set to take place in Bærum, Norway on the 29th May 2010

August 2010 Music Events
Death Magnetic, which as everyone knows is Metallica's latest album and this tour will finish in August sometime!

More Events in 2010

• High School Musical 4 will be released and their is great anticipation around the globe for this day to come- The date has not yet been set, but it will definitely be a success.
• The 2010 Country Radio Seminar will be hosted by none other than Taylor Swift!
• Not all music events in 2010 will be happy ones- Musical legends Brooks and Dunn will seperate after a magical 20 years together- sad, sad, sad!

New Songs 2010- It will be Tough for Bands

There will be many new songs in 2010- That goes without saying! But the Question remains- What will 2010 bring about? Especially with regards to Bands and Artists, and their Songs!

Some say Empire of the Sun will rock out big in 2010. The Australian band have done well for themsleves, especially in 2009. With their hit single Walking on a Dream, who knows what songs they will bring out in 2010! The French alternative rock band have also been the centre of attention with their popular songs 1901, Listomania, and Girlfriend.

What will people want to listen to in 2010? What songs? What Bands? What Groups? To answer this question, one needs to look at historical records: Look at the music entertainment business as a whole and see over the past 20 years, who has profited when, and for how long. A great example is Kings of Leon! If it weren't for the UK's massive interest into Indie Music during 2007, 2008 and 2009, then Kings of Leon would still be stuck in Tennessee, USA waiting for something to happen. Kings of Leon actually had to play gigs in other countries (like UK) to make it. Now, thanks UK, The Kings of Leon scene (and the Indie Scene) has rocketed sky high accross the globe.

People dont want rock anymore. People dont want pop anymore (well who knows after the death of MJ, this might change). People want change, people want something different and 2010 will bring them this change- yes folks.. you read right. 2010 songs will be different than the years before (hmmmm)- The 2010 Bands and 2010 Artists will provide you with the best songs ever. Dam!

Which genres and songs will people be listening to most in 2010. I did some research on Google Insights (a nifty program offered by Google which allows you to see what people from around the world are searching for). What will people be searching for on the web with Songs 2010. I took the following genre searches on Google Analytics:

Rap Songs 2010
Country Songs 2010
Hip Hop Songs 2010
Love Songs 2010
RnB Songs 2010

My results were interesting: Most people search for "Hip Hop Songs 2010", which had 62 points. This can only mean that hip hop songs are in more demand that all the others. Coming in at number two was "rap songs 2010" with 42 points. Interesting to see the big gap between Hip Hop songs 2010 and Rap Songs 2010- 20 Points is a lot! Number three was "country songs 2010" with 35 points- not a bad effort. Second last (out of the five searches done) was "love songs 2010" showing that the world is not that much into Romantic Songs and Love Songs. "RnB Songs 2010" came in last with 15 points. The reason for this could be because of the 2 spellings of "RnB Songs 2010" and "R&B songs".

A strange result was the search "Pop Songs 2010"- Only 9 Points. Check out Google Insights for more information

There will be many Top Songs in 2010. How can one say? Simple. Each year, more and more people listen to music. but not just any music- the top 10 music. Im talking about your Britney Spears' and your Eminem's. People will like the songs in 2010 because they liked the songs in 2009. Its simple. Songs 2010 will more than Songs 2009. The question remains. Do people's needs change? Do people's tastes change? Maybe. The music and songs that youngsters listened to in 2009 will not be the same as the music and songs they will listen to in 2010. And I dont mean the actual songs, I mean the taste of music. The style of music will be different. Just have a look at the songs played in 2009 at big festivals like Glastonbury and Reading. Compare the songs of 2009 to the songs played back in 1987. Big difference!

The question remains: What will Songs 2010 be like? Will the people decide to enjoy songs from commercial bands and artists or will they dig into the music and raise a star whose music is less "standard" and more "controvercial". Songs 2010 will be intresting... very interesting.

Anya Marina- Move You- Songs 2010

Mtv have just added Anya's music video "Move You" to there list of videos and songs to play early on in 2010. Scott Coffey did a great job directing this music video! It is said to be only available in Stores from January 2010.





Bertell- Goin Hard- Songs 2010

Bertell's latest 2010 Song is "Goin' Hard" is set to be released only on the 9th February 2010. I guess time will tell if Bertell can make it happen early on in 2010 and rocket "Goin Hard" into becoming one of the top 2010 songs. Here Bertell gives you some insight into his new album.




Eminem- Crack a Bottle Remix- Songs 2010

This remix is set to feature Cashis and Bobby Cashwater and will be released on 9th February 2010.

How to predict a hit song?

Can you preict which songs will become hits in 2010? I would think not. But according to Mike McCready, the CEO of Platinum Blue, you can. He and his team have come up with an algorithm with takes an"x-ray" of the song, and gives it a certain rating based on the x-ray. Watch this video for more insight:

Welcome to Songs2010. I know what you thinking.. hmmm, its only August 2009... why has this blog already started. Good Question! Because time flies, and before you know it, it will be January 2010, the start of a new year... and the start of a new year can only mean one thing: new songs!

Each year, music changes. Is this a good thing? Well it depends on how you look at it. Generally, the older you get, the less "flexible"your music taste becomes (someone correct me please if im wrong!) and the more "constant" your music genre becomes. Having said that, it actually doesn't matter what your age is, just follow my advice: allow the songs of 2010 to flow through your body like never before and become open to whatever the 2010 music scene brings you.
